Despite multiple hardships — including immigration and documentation — Maty has managed to shine as a multimedia journalist and a reporter for The Campus. Her specialities are photography and video storytelling, and she brings resilience, drive, curiosity and a sharp eye to all of her assignments. After graduation, she plans to work in her native Senegal, where she has not been able to return, or seen her family, in 16 years.
